Will be spending a few days in York first week of october.
As I still have a day to spend in my planning, I would like to visit a
modeltrain shop. I do have a britrailpass so I can visit  a city within
reach of a day trip.

Bought a Stuart Reidpath 00 4F yesterday, does the white metal contain
uranium ? Recon if can get it going it could pull a full sized 10 ton PO
wagon :-)

The chassis on the Lima J50 and 94XX locos are pretty poor.  Has anyone
tried putting the bodies on a Hornby Jinty chassis?  Does they fit?

I have often done a search on Hattons (as well as others) for 00 LMS
liveried brake vans and come up with nothing till now, and they only

Have got 2 bits on the fret that cant see where to fit. First is
counerwieght other is arch shaped with hole at rounded top. Anyone know what
second bit is and where they go ?

I asked a question a while back that probably was too narrow to get a
detailed answer. Basically the US and European coupler systems are
different. This has to lead to a difference in how yard operations, in
assembling a freight train are performed. If I remember right from books ...

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a possible source of a replacement
motor (or armature) for an N-gauge Minitrix type 27 loco? Doesn't seem to be
anything on ebay.
