.... other than Moduni in Germany, which seems to be a great site, but
they are continually out of stock of the models in which I have an
interest. I am working on the assumption that a .uk site would have
them as I am in the .us dot-com land I would also appreciate some

My club has recently constructed a fairly large portable HO layout, and now
we have lots of track to ballast! Does anyone have any experience with how
much track can typically be ballasted with a pound of ballast? We are trying
to estimate how much to order.

The recent thread about a hypothetical ballasting car that would
actually be able to work on a model railroad layout got me to thinking.
(Dangerous, I know.) Came up with an idea for such a piece of MOW
equipment, but then decided that it would really work better as a

Apologies for poor quality of colour. I don't know what happened but it
seems the lights at the venue gave everything a very yellow colour,

I will be in Orlando for a week next month. I will have daytime free since
my wife will be in confrences then. What model rail and real rail things are
there to do? any clubs or layouts that I can visit?

Probably a bit late to find one now, but today's Metro (a form of floor
