In company with fellow South Shore member Cliff South I had the
privilege of visiting Ron Gager and his wife Moira last week.
To my mind Ron epitomises the essence of our hobby. He is a serious

Been looking at YouTube vids of layouts, there seems to be a lot more colour
in the freight car stock than I remember in the 1970s - I only remember
'freight brown' cars, heavily stained with brake dust.
Is colour a new thing? I thought most railroads used standard brown livery

What is the actual "six foot" spacing between double track lines, and
is it measured between the inner faces of each track i.e. at the wheel
flange point, or the outer edge of each track?

Model Rail Scotland will be held at the SECC in Glasgow this Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. I just thought you might like to know I am showing my
own layout "Dubh Nan Arun" on behalf of Glasgow and West of Scotland MRC. It
