| Kitbashing An Old Classic Structure. | 31 May 2010 19:36 GMT | 10 |
Found an old (1960s) Campbell Produce Shed kit on Ebay about a year ago and finally got around to building it for the layout. The prototype existed in Yorba Linda California for many years, and since I'm modeling southern California it seemed like a natural.

Wow - it's under 100 pages. I can't recall any MR being that short for quite a while [although I have not looked at back issues for specifics]. I hope that's not a sign that the hobby's advertising revenue is drying up.

| DCC Sagas - the confession. | 29 May 2010 22:50 GMT | 2 |
Last week I had modified an old Hornby R410 turntable for use on DCC. Happy with my plans I took my walkabout select unit and connected up to the table and a section of track to test; Result = excellent! Now I can get on and hack and slash to my hearts content.

| Railroad colors | 29 May 2010 21:53 GMT | 2 |
A friend wants to paint a boxcar for the Cadiz Railroad. The color is described as a "sort of lemon", not quite bright yellow, but perhaps with a little green added. Is there a site that would deal with railroad color formulas?

| Slaters Brake van | 28 May 2010 10:52 GMT | 2 |
Built a new (not 2nd hand) slaters break kit. Not brilliant to ok as it goes. However when it came to the transfers there was a distinct lack of glue on them. Anyone else had such problems and what did they do ? Cheers,

The latest exercise has been to fit decoders and LED lamps to my HST125 which has two power carsof almost identical performance. The lead car took 30 mins to provide a good working unit. Then the trouble started!

In the April edition of Hornby Magazine was a leaflet detailing an offer for a model of a Corgi RTW 1/76 scale bus for £1.99 with free P&P Atlas Editions. Has anyone who also applied got theirs yet ?

| Sentinel Shunters | 20 May 2010 17:31 GMT | 22 |
Whilst at the Mickleover show I noticed a loco I had never seen on a layout ( or in real life ) a Sentinel Shunter, almost as wide as they were long. Able to push / pull a coule of waggons.

I recently bought a tidy little Thomas model to act as life support for my J83. When it arrived I cleaned it up and ran it on the DC test track. My wife walked in and had a conversation and then went about her
