hybrid question31 Jul 2003 19:23 GMT2
Has anyone launched hybrid engines in colder temps, between 32F to 5F.  I am
going to build a rocket for a hybrid engine and would like to launch it this
winter, about the only time of year we can get a field big enough for
anything over a G.

Given the discussion earlier from Ray Dunakin and Bob Kaplow, if you go to:

PLANO customer service!30 Jul 2003 21:07 GMT2
Another one of those customer service "attaboy"s: While taking my Plano 7592
4 drawer tackle box out of my car at NARAM-44, I managed to break off the
handle. It's really a drag to lug something that big without the handle. In
my usual procrastination mode, I waited until last weeks ...

NAR President on News Conference by Senators30 Jul 2003 05:43 GMT2
As reported here previously,  using inaccurate and scientifically
insupportable information, two U.S. Senators attacked amateur and
hobby rocket enthusiasts across America.
In response, John Kyte drafted a rebuttal press release for the NAR
Shrouds30 Jul 2003 04:46 GMT11
Anyone have any tips, secrets, etc. for making STRONG paper or
cardstock shrouds?  Short of fiberglassing, that is.
i.e., are there any materials which are superior to plain cardstock;
what about soaking the shroud with CA or thinned epoxy, etc?
NASA and Safe Explosives30 Jul 2003 04:37 GMT8
My understanding (corrections welcome) is that the Shuttle and perhaps
the Delta booster SRBs use propellant not too different from our own
composite engines.
Does NASA have to follow the restriction imposed by the new laws? I
