including shipping, I couldn't resist.  I've read a little about the
V-Probe's shaky flight characterisitics, but I'm more interested in kit bash
ideas.  Seems like the alien lander might be made into a ...

fiberglassing info17 Aug 2003 16:34 GMT3
Yet another Newbie here. I was hoping someone could provide a good link
to a location that would show a good process for glassing a 3.9 tube. I
could swear I had seen one on the rocketryonline sight at one time but I
can't seem to find it now. Thanks for any help.
Missles and Jetliners17 Aug 2003 15:09 GMT2
Here is a story from strategypage.com.
Basically it states that shoulder fired missles might damage, but will
not bring down a modern, large Jetliner.  Older models are vulnerable.

Pratt Micro Beacons -- Get some!!17 Aug 2003 14:42 GMT6
I've been using these occasionally over the past couple years. Didn't get to
really put them to use much at first though, because too often they were
getting wiped out in recovery failures, etc. And a lot of times, I simply
didn't bother to attach one -- too lazy, too much in a ...

SpaceShipOne - PRE-Flight new plane/rocket15 Aug 2003 16:02 GMT1
This is a model of the  frontrunner in the XPrize race to build the first
cheap, commercial spacecraft. Designed by Burt Rutan of Scaled Composites,
SpaceShipOne is carried aloft by WhiteKnight and is released after which it
fires its rocket engine to boost itself to over 100km.

low voltage standards - so many to choose from!15 Aug 2003 06:20 GMT5
We plan on getting out mission control wired for 12volt and was

someone to foolish to read trying to plug a 12v device into a 110v
outlet (you could label them in eye-yanking color that flashes, and
