How does one "scale up" a rocket. Let's say there's a 6" one that you really like and you want to scale it up to 12". Does everything get doubled like fin dimensions, nosecone length, etc? Or is there a trade secret about this that I don't know about?

I've seen large vendors get larger motors like K700's on at least two occasions this summer, when smaller vendors have had the same motors ordered since last winter. The smaller vendors just keep getting the runaround and empty promises. Has anyone else been seeing this?
