This Whole Homeland Security Thing Now Makes Sense31 Oct 2003 23:40 GMT51
President George W. Bush explained why our constitutional freedoms
must be eliminated:
"See, free nations are peaceful nations. Free nations don't attack
each other. Free nations don't develop weapons of mass destruction."
Maybe DOJ was right...31 Oct 2003 17:14 GMT25
Could be an Aerotech Initiator modified for a J-350...

Fiberglassing a Nosecone31 Oct 2003 13:18 GMT3
I would like to put a layer of 8 oz fiberglass on a LOC 7.5 inch plastic
nosecone.  I think I read some somewhere that one of the popular rocketry
programs (rocksim?) would print out a pattern to do such a thing.  Can
anyone point me to which software will do it?
Palm apps I would love to see.31 Oct 2003 11:10 GMT11
A rocksim VIEWER. IE let me see the rocket and some sim result that I have
already run on my palm.
Also a Motor Database. Seperate from other programs (but using the same pdb
etc. file to conserve space)

Question on Venus Probe modifications30 Oct 2003 23:54 GMT3
I know that folks have 'modified' the Venus Probe for use with a D (and
Fred sells the 'kits'), but has anyone done the same thing to an
Exo-Skell model?  If so, is it the same modfication?

What was the latest issue and when did you get it (and how do you have it mailed)?
My last issue was the July/August 2003 issue and I'm wondering....

Rockets in the news30 Oct 2003 22:30 GMT19
CNN:
"Early Sunday morning, another U.S. soldier died and 15 other people were
injured in a rocket attack on the Al Rashid Hotel in Baghdad, where U.S.
Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz was staying. Wolfowitz was unharmed.
Fires!!!30 Oct 2003 22:29 GMT37
Woke up early this morning and noticed a disturbing brownish yellow glow coming
through the windows. Went outside and the sky was filled with smoke, with ashes
snowing everywhere. Turned on the news right away and found out there's
actually two fires. They aren't very close to us, ...

Got it yesterday, only took a few days to get here from Hong Kong.
First impressions are its very good. The video cam/transmitter is very
7.5" (and larger tubing)/ring tailed rocket follow-up30 Oct 2003 01:23 GMT11
First, thanks to all of you who responded to my earlier posting about
whistling ring tailed rockets at the ROCI launch.  I've looked up Bob
Kaplow's plan in the NIRA newsletter.  Are there any suppliers of 7"
tubes other than LOC?  In particular, are there any good sources of
Doing some research30 Oct 2003 01:15 GMT1
Hey there everyone.  I was wondering if anyone can help me find some online
articles from each side of the debate about if manned space flight should
continue or not.  Now I'm not asking for opinions and politics, I'm just asking
if anyone could help me find some articles that I ...
