Estes Goblin05 Nov 2003 22:46 GMT2
I am making an Estes Goblin clone. Do I *have* to use a balsa nosecone that
duplicates the original or will a plastic nose cone work? I am concerned
that the plastic nose cone will not weigh the same as the balsa one.
Any help will be greatly appreicated!
CA in motor tube to stiffen the edge05 Nov 2003 05:14 GMT6
Is it possible to soak the motor tube edge to stiffen it or to more
affectively stop it from unraveling? Or would the heat from the motor burn
do something to the CA and bond the case to the tube when it cools?
TIA
Fin / Slot Question05 Nov 2003 04:06 GMT11
For body tubes that are slotted clear out the end,  what's the preferred
method for filling the slot if the fins do not extend to the edge (about a
1/4" short) of the body tube?

Thanks to Gates Bros.05 Nov 2003 00:22 GMT12

night.  The old rocket car, and the Gates Bros helped by supplying and
supervising the rockets.
Washing Nomex Flame Shields04 Nov 2003 21:38 GMT23
Will BP residue wash off?  I've got some flame shields that are in good
shape but really loaded with crud.  I'm toying with throwing then in the
washing machine but I'm afraid I may spend the next two weeks living in the
garage if I do.

When will we see content on FlyRockets.com04 Nov 2003 18:46 GMT5
Just wondering when we will get a chance to see the content on
FlyRockets.com
Seems like it would be a good idea to allow the rocetry community a chance
to review/test it and report any broken links or browser problems etc.

Any Fallout From Terrorism?04 Nov 2003 18:40 GMT11
Finally got a source of income and a means to enjoy a new hobby. Want to get
into model rocketry. It has been nearly three years since I posted to this
board, but I am back and have a few bucks.
So, after being accused of everything from being a pervert to terrorism over
Motors > 62.503 Nov 2003 21:17 GMT46
I know it has been hashed out alot about motors over 62.5 grams. But

COMCAST and ABMR newsgroup03 Nov 2003 14:44 GMT10
Ever since my AT&T cable service was taken over by ComCast, I lost the

missing the "s" on "models".  Besides Google, what other options are there
Rocket Launching System - Design Compromises...03 Nov 2003 00:56 GMT42
I've been looking around the Net, in an attempt to find RF
transceivers that will allow me to set up my *potential* launching
system for wireless operation.  I've come up with the following
roadblocks...

[SAFETY] Offset distance - Saturn V02 Nov 2003 21:11 GMT7
Yep. As with the Shuttle launches, the noise is actually what makes the
safe distance 3 miles, not anything having to do with the rocket
exhaust.
The sound waves could easily pulverize a human's skeleton if he was
