Glue Question25 Nov 2003 13:10 GMT3
I notice that several Estes kits list three glue types --- plastic
cement, carpenter's glue, and liquid cement. By liquid cement do they
mean CA?
Thanks.
whistleing rocket25 Nov 2003 08:07 GMT36
Has anyone successfully built and flown a whistling rocket. Not just one
that makes a whistling sound but actually has whistles on the body that can
be heard over the motor firing when launched. Whistle design is not easy to
find info on. Thanks for any input you have!
RingHawk in Sport Rocketry25 Nov 2003 01:36 GMT3
Anyone else see the RingHawk and think, "Dang, I had that same idea years ago"?
Of course, I never took it past the idea stage.
Kudos to the designer, and to all others who make their ideas reality.

In case it has not been mentioned yet, the deadline was extended a

Did the first TARC get coverage on cable/satellite TV?

As one with literally no rocketry background and I mean zero, what's the
best way to get started. Looks like just a simple model rocket pre-assembled
or not?

Expanding Foam24 Nov 2003 12:06 GMT9
I checked the archives and did not see this one:
Has anyone ever tried using that spray can urea foam they sell at Home
Despot as crack insulation to fill voids in rockets? At first glance it
seems easier as there is no mixing, and it comes with the extension tube to

I ordered an LOC Legacy from DiscountHobbyCenter which should arrive soon.
I plan on using all the technics I learned here - Pin holes for the fins, etc..
and will be using either a small eyebolt or ubolt for cord attachment. Primary

What's the story on 24mm RMS?23 Nov 2003 22:14 GMT8
I've been a BAR since July and have built 4 Estes and 4 Quest kits.
I'd like to build an E-F capable rocket in 2004 and so I've been
reading RMR and EMRR reviews of kits from LOC, Aerotech, USR, and The
Launch Pad, among others.
