Help the FlyRockets.com site10 Dec 2003 05:56 GMT3
OK folks, the program is over, the web counter has slowed down, and
we're in it for the long haul. Search engines are working well for 'fly
rockets', and we've done some optimization today for more general terms.
However, those will take a while to kick in.

Assuming it is adopted (HA!),
when would it go into effect?
[NAR S&T] Comments09 Dec 2003 19:50 GMT3
The nar werbsite at http://www.nar.org/NARsandt.html states and I quote,
"State and federal law require all rocket engines to be independently
tested before they may be sold in the United States.".
Prove it.
DSC ad results..09 Dec 2003 18:09 GMT20
So now that the DSC shows have aired, what seems to be the result?  With the
holidays, I'd bet little more happens, as by Jan., potential new folks will
have forgotten about it, and be worried about paying off holiday bills
For NAR and TRA, it's easy to track, as they offered a ...
Altimeter or Timer?09 Dec 2003 13:00 GMT15
Okay, time to move into the world of dual deployment.
I want to build a rocket with dual deployment that uses the motor and
a back-up charge for a streamer and a second charge for the main.
Altimeter or Timer? (yeah, I could use both but too much $$)
LOC Legacy build questions09 Dec 2003 08:04 GMT8
Hi All: Need to pick of few of the experienced and talented brains in this
group <G>. Just received my LOC Legacy today. Very impressed, well packaged,
all parts well made. Except - it comes with a screw type eyebolt for the
bulkhead section where the upper and lower sections join. ...
Flyrockets.com Ad in January Popular Mechanics09 Dec 2003 00:19 GMT1
The new ad is on the first page of the Buyer's Guide (p116).  Looks very
smart with a shot of a nike heading up and 3 smaller photos that I can
barely see.  The nike, orange and spotted something, and a wavy red white
and blue.  Little larger than 1/4 page.
[FS] Saturn V box w/instructions,wrapsand averysmallpostion of the parts.09 Dec 2003 00:14 GMT13
[FS] Saturn V box w/instructions, wraps and a very small portion of the
parts.
My plan is to auction it but first I wanted to see if I got any insane
offers for it.  The last two SV boxes I sold were sold to the most

re: NFPA and rocketry08 Dec 2003 20:07 GMT4
the NFPA definition for a "certified user" does not contain any
requirement that the individual certified is a member of its (or any)
organization:

Anybody building anything?08 Dec 2003 17:29 GMT113
I've got a FatCat (boost glider) in paint.  First application had to get
sanded down, a very weird paint.  Almost like a plastic.  Went to the bother
to put airfoils all around.  Glide tests showed it needs some nose weight,
but won't finish that until the paint is on.
The ATF Letter to Mr. Brunda08 Dec 2003 17:28 GMT6
With all this discussion about the BATFE, rocket motors, exemptions
and storage requirements, how are we supposed to interpret the ATF
letter, addressed to Mr. Guy Bruda, dated June 5, 1992?
It states "the finished rocket motors that you proposed to use [H
