| source for E and F class motors. | 23 Jan 2004 15:18 GMT | 6 |
Seems like every where I look I can not find 29mm diameter rocket motors for my Aerotek Cheetah. Lots of vendors have them listed but are usually out of stock or when ordered they are backordered with no delivery date. Communication is poor with most dealers on the internet.

| Rockets for a 3 year old | 23 Jan 2004 07:35 GMT | 7 |
OK, I got myself in a slight pickle. I promised my 3 year old I'd take him to see rockets - in March. Well, he doesn't want to see rockets (at Cape Kennedy) in March, he wants them *now*.

I am giving serious consideration to making my own tracking smoke canisters in 29mm and 38mm sizes... just right to fit into a Pro38 or AT motor casing and then into a motor tube either set up as one tube of a cluster at the aft end... or into a tube built into the nosecone.

| Estes Falcon | 22 Jan 2004 12:59 GMT | 24 |
I finished scratch building an Estes Falcon boost glider, and after several test tosses, tried the first flight on an Estes 1/2A6-2. Nice, straight boost, motor out at apogee, and it came down almost as straight as it went up. The dis-assembly was complete.

| Research Paper | 21 Jan 2004 23:20 GMT | 3 |

My kids and I just got bit by this model rocketry bug. Does anyone know of a location within a few hours of the Bay Area in Ca that launches the "larger" size rockets? We've "successfully" launched three rockets at a park in our town, and we QUICKLY learned that a "C"

Going back 31 years, the Centuri Hummingbird was my favorite rocket. For those interested in that particular rocket, I have just finished posting patterns, and copies of the directions suitable for building a decent clone. Go to http://astrocam.aea6.k12.ia.us/hummingbird.html
