Has anybody seen the SBC Yahoo commerical ?06 Feb 2004 17:36 GMT26
There is an TV add running for my local phone co's internet service. It
shows a father researching hobbies on the internet, and he orders a starter
rocket kit. The next scene he is out in a field, launching the rocket with
his son. So far so good, it makes rocketry look like a good ...

I am looking for information on  BP end burning exhaust plumes..
for example  does the thrust/time curve have anything to do with the plume
characteristics..ie the length of the exhaust plume, the diameter of the
exhaust plume, the temperatures of the gases in the exhaust plume.....

We finally joined NAR06 Feb 2004 00:45 GMT124
I've always intended to join the NAR but for whatever reason, just never got
around to it. Then about 2 weeks ago, as we were planning to finally begin
the 3 stage Saturn V, Verna and I were discussing the current situation with
the hobby. As I tend to do, I began way back when were ...
[HSA] Terrorist Threats arrest05 Feb 2004 21:55 GMT10
A kid who made crank 911 calls is being charged with the crime of
terrorist threats.
This of course is in California in San Bernardino County.
All that speculation that hapened last month about the HSA and PA1 and
Aerotech Investors05 Feb 2004 19:24 GMT28
Please forgive me if this has already been asked.
In wading through the Aerotech BK papers, it notes that the original
investors gave up their positions for "no consideration".
Do I take this to mean that they took a bath to the tune of $900,000
Topic for Myth Busters05 Feb 2004 19:02 GMT143
There's a great show on the Discovery Channel called "Myth Busters."
Tonight's show was one where they investigated bullets being used as
fuse replacement in a car, the American Graffiti cop car axle stunt,
and explosive decompression of an airplane.
BuyRockets.com - was it worth the cost?05 Feb 2004 18:21 GMT45
Another post made me think about this again.
Any one know what the actual BUY rate was for the $70K+ spent on
flyrockets.com. IIRC what I heard from Bunny indicates that what the NAR
spent to support the ads weren't worth the new member return rate. Don't

Wondering where05 Feb 2004 05:31 GMT2
Anyone know where the shuttle Enterprise is at present? I got to see it in
Huntsville back in 1977 and was wondering where they have it stashed away.

enough talk, what now?05 Feb 2004 02:49 GMT73
Aloha,
We have all talked about Aerotech and their situation till blue in the face. My
question is simply this....WHAT DO WE DO FOR MOTORS NOW?
I have a few Ceaseroni (spelling?) cases. Can they manufacture enough to pick
My take on AeroTech05 Feb 2004 02:12 GMT37
Has been taxing the last several weeks, but I have been lurking from time to
time, though barely a fraction of what I used to do.
I see AeroTech is disintegrating... as predicted... (duh).  Hoping somehow
the pieces re-establish in a manner that benefits the hobby... local shops
Is there another rocketry forum?04 Feb 2004 17:32 GMT37
It's a shame what this newsgroup has become.  It's all about "Jerry", whose
only real "contribution" to the hobby is to pollute this newsgroup with
crazed ramblings, conspiracy theories, deceit, and insults to other
flyers/members, folks who make a real contribution.  Unfortunately,
