While I was at the library checking out "Failure is not an Option" by Gene
Krantz, I found another book that I think is more interesting. It's called
"Sputnik: The Shock of the Century" by Paul Dickson. It gets into the
politics of the time relating to rocketry from Goddard's time ...

Does anyone know an alternate source for the phenolic tubing liners
used in AeroTech 54 mm RMS motors?  $40 for a 48" length from RCS
seems very expensive.

Got a letter yesterday from Sen. Dick Durbin (IL) saying that the
amended Enzi bill is on the Senate calendar and will be coming for a
MDRA Coverdale, DE Launch19 Feb 2004 05:22 GMT2
MDRA will be launching this weekend, Feb 21-22 from the Coverdale site
(near Bridgeville Delaware).  Starts 9 AM each day and runs until dark.
Waiver is 16,000 feet.  Experimental projects are welcome each day.

The long sad Tripoli saga reminds me of a kid who is caught stealing 10
cent candy bars but refuses to admit or apologize. He is caught on tape
and there are witnesses so he is of course convicted of a crime.
