Plonk Day07 Mar 2004 18:21 GMT20
Today is Plonk Day.  Are you tired of folks who go on and on, endlessly
repeating the same old crap?
Well, today is your day to plonk them.  Every time you see a post from
someone that is just rehashing the same old crap, reply with "plonk".
Electronics power switch survey07 Mar 2004 17:57 GMT20

Source for quantity swivels07 Mar 2004 17:18 GMT8
I need to get a couple of hundred swivel snaps for Alpha III - sized
rockets.  They're pretty expensive at the fishing tackle store when
buying a bag of four or five.  Anybody know a source for buying a bag of
a hundred or two, for not too much money?  Again, not for bigger
TARC07 Mar 2004 15:56 GMT2
With a little more than a month for teams to complete their qualifying
flight, be sure to remind teams in your area that the time is ticking.  It's
kind of a bummer that last years winner from this area that went to DC will
not be able to go regardless of their score.  They informed ...
Looking for rocket cartoon07 Mar 2004 15:56 GMT5
Back on 11/28/03, someone posted a link to the cartoon that Jim Flis
made the Acme Spitfire from.  The link has expired, and like an idiot I
didn't save that cartoon.  Does anyone have a copy of it, or a link to
another place that might have it?

Venus Probe modified for Estes E - questions07 Mar 2004 15:05 GMT5
Has anyone used the 'conversion' technique/kit for the Estes Venus Probe
to modify it to use the Estes E engine?  Granted, the engine hook will
stick out a bit from the top of the bottom large tube, but that's not a
huge concern.
NARCON RMR gathering Friday evening?07 Mar 2004 07:24 GMT3
It's a week to NARCON, and several folks have mentioned they will be there.
An RMR gathering was suggested. Looking at the schedule, the best time might
be during the "meet and greet session Friday evening, or dinner Friday.
Since I don't see a formal "dinner" break, perhaps the RMR ...
Rocket Pad Rockets07 Mar 2004 05:04 GMT2
Does anybody here have any experience with a supplier called Rocket Pad
Rockets? Not to be confused with Launch Pad. I occasionally see kits by them
posted on eBay, yet can find no information on the company.
Thanx

Propellant in a vacuum 07 Mar 2004 02:26 GMT40
Will APCP burn in a vacuum. I used to think yes, because of the fact that it
had its own oxidizer, but then after reading the "about" section on the
Rouse-Tech webpage I do not know. Anyone got an answer?
Has anyone ever used the CD3 deployment system?06 Mar 2004 21:03 GMT4
This system employs the use of a CO2 cartridge to eject a chute.
If so, the pro's & cons please.
