Value of Estes B-14 motors?05 Jun 2004 08:01 GMT13
I found 6 B14-6's in my "treasure box".  These have NOT been heat cycled!!
Anyone guess a monetary value on this "treasure"?

Why was the BALLSdate changed??? This is BS.05 Jun 2004 07:55 GMT5
Now they pulled it back a week?
I heard the BALLS organizers screwed up and didn't make reservations
in time at Bruno's Motel in Gerlach for the originally scheduled week
so they changed the BALLS event to Sept. 10-11-12 so they could have
just a thought on shipping safety issues...05 Jun 2004 04:55 GMT13
It occurs to me that sport rocket APCP is probably safer to ship
than items such as roadway flares or matchbooks (both of which are
"classified by listing" as "Flammable Solid 4.1" rather than
"Explosives") - wouldn't APCP meet the thermal stability requirements
Is the NAR a Real Organization ?04 Jun 2004 18:25 GMT13
I guess if it werent for Binder Design , Magnum and  Giant Leap Rocketry I'd
be completely disillusioned with everything rocketry.  At any rate, I sent
in my membership app+check two months ago. Their site says it takes them
about two WEEKS to process your membership and get your ...

Kudos to Spherachutes04 Jun 2004 02:42 GMT14
Preamble: I started writing this about 6PM local time and it was posted
immediately via dial-up  :-)>
Anyhow, I did my L3 in 2001 with the usual bevy of loaned
hardware/amenities/accoutrements, not the least of which was a 14'
Descon14: Theme Determined04 Jun 2004 01:35 GMT1
10 people voted for "Multi-Engine" and by a wide margin, that theme
won.
So RMR Descon 14 will be the "Multi-Engine Online Invitational Design
Contest".
Perhaps of Interest: Hobby Lobby Clearance03 Jun 2004 20:01 GMT6
Found a good sized stash of assorted Estes E, C11 & a few B motors all on
clearance at 50% or more off original sticker in the nearest Hobby Lobby. No
motors at all at the next nearest Hobby Lobby - so take your chances. The weird
thing was the same size motors were also on the ...
Help with and engine03 Jun 2004 19:57 GMT3
I have a North Coast Rocketry Lance Beta rocket. It takes a G70-7 or
F62-6 engine. Does anyone know where I can get this type of engine?
What I can use to replace it? Where I can get the engine from?
Thanks
Why?03 Jun 2004 14:53 GMT42
You know, I spent the day with Jerry today and he was a genuinely nice guy
and a good conversationalist.  For the life of me, I can't understand the
vitriol that is spewed out on this guy.  I've dealt with him off and on for
almost eight years and I've never been given a single ...
A stupid question03 Jun 2004 14:03 GMT14
Why is it that I can go out and buy 100 pounds of mixed volatile fireworks
every 4th of July and not need a LEUP but I need one to buy a APCP H motor
reload that weighs far far less, is less combustible/harder to ignite then
my fireworks?
BAR in need of help - Home Depot cellulose ejection wadding?03 Jun 2004 05:01 GMT47
It's been quite a while since I've done anything with my rockets.  A little
over two years in fact due in part to moving and not having time to unpack
my stuff.  I recently took my neighbor's son to the Battlepark launch in
Culpeper, VA and his interest has resparked my own.  I've ...
SAFETY QUESTION - possibly "ALERT"02 Jun 2004 20:13 GMT58
Has anyone out there noticed an increase in the number of unstable flights of the Estes
Gemini DC kit?
If so, have you identified the root cause?
Did they change something in the kit (nose cone lighter? pod cones heavier?)
Operation Crossbow & rocket trivia02 Jun 2004 04:31 GMT43
TCM ran the movie "Operation Crossbow" today and it had some interesting
rocket misinformation. The movie showed some pretty hokey shots of V2
launches but most intriguing was the mention of the "New York" rocket with a
cluster of 4 engines. It was supposedly being developed to hit ...
