| Composite propellant formulations? | 27 Jun 2004 03:29 GMT | 5 |
I was interested in developing my own motors, but don't want to just "wing it" and end up minus 4 fingers. Are there any good books, documents, websites, mil-specs, or literature that covers various different propellant formulations and correct methods to process them?

| shelf life of AP motors | 27 Jun 2004 01:58 GMT | 10 |
I have some Aerotech AP reloads (nothing over "F") that are about 8 years old. Junk? I may donate them to the local Tripoli club in San Diego if they are still

| Flying rockets in Ithaca, NY? | 26 Jun 2004 19:09 GMT | 2 |
I was wondering if anyone knew of any organized club/group flying rockets around the Ithaca, NY (Cornell) area? I used to fly everything from Estes "A" rockets up to "F" and "G" powered rockets in HS. I still have most of them even though I'm now in graduate school,

| Walston vs rocket hunter | 26 Jun 2004 15:27 GMT | 9 |
I've decided to get into telemetry as my rockets are going higher and farther. GPSflight is intriging but I want something small that will fit into a 29mm tube. Which is better...Walston or Rockethunter? I'm looking for ease of use,

| J420 1/4" gap in grains | 25 Jun 2004 19:56 GMT | 20 |
I put together a J420R 38mm 6grain AT RMS this evening getting ready for tomorrow's launch. While I have seen many engines have a gap in the grains to the end closure, that allow them to move back and forth in the case, this gap was exactly

| Need transition section | 25 Jun 2004 19:28 GMT | 10 |
Do any of you know where I can find a transition section to reduce a standard LOC 5.5 inch tube to a standard LOC 4 inch tube (reasonably priced)? Balsa Machining can't make one for me and I'm very nervous about the styrofoam one I tried to make.

| Tireflys--Anybody ever used these? | 25 Jun 2004 11:02 GMT | 6 |
Found these at WalMart today. They are motion-activated lights that can screw into tire stems. But who'd want to do that? http://www.tireflys.com/ They look about the right size to fit into BT-5 tubing for night launch nose

| Why Does Posting About BP Rocketry Feel "OT"? | 25 Jun 2004 10:55 GMT | 28 |
I've returned to this forum after a few years, and I've been reading posts for several weeks now. I'm a triple BAR, counting this time, my last major activity was in the 80's. Is the BP engine end of the hobby as dead as this forum makes it seem? Is there ssome other newsgroup ...

| LDRS 23 - Range Duty Volunteers | 25 Jun 2004 05:34 GMT | 5 |
Well, we're barely a week away from LDRS 23, a good time to remind everyone that an event of this magnitude requires the assistance of range duty volunteers. If you can spare a couple of hours to volunteer for a range duty shift, you'll find that

Anyone a good feel (or website) for composite tube thickness for various materials over various diameters? Strictly composite, not cardboard reinforcement. Thanks,
