Apogee Nike-Hercules09 Jul 2004 03:21 GMT1
I plan to build one of these next week and was wondering what
experiences you folks may have had with it.  What motors have worked/not
worked?  Did you stage it?  If so, how, etc.?  Thanks,
Tim
Don't forget Load Glide at NARAM 4608 Jul 2004 22:52 GMT1
It'll be the first time in years you've actually had the thrill of designing
a glider from scratch.   I'll bet you forgot that model rocketry is fun.   As
with the Celebration, you still have plenty of time.   You know you have
plenty of time to make one.  Give yourself an hour ...
LDRS: Thanks to everyone!08 Jul 2004 21:15 GMT10
I had a fantastic time at LDRS, and I want to thank everyone who
helped put it all together. It was great to see such a huge crowd in
lovely upstate NY. Weather was a little hot and sticky on Sunday, but
Friday and Saturday were perfect...especially Saturday when there was
SpaceShipOne ???08 Jul 2004 20:29 GMT25
This came up at work and I wanted to get some opinions from some of the brainier
people that I know.  Everyone was impressed by the fact that he was able to
float M&Ms.  When I heard this I immediately had an alarm going off in my head
and replied "BS! not possible."  Of course I ...
Launch pads, what features would you like to see?08 Jul 2004 19:56 GMT18
Hi, I am looking for idea's that everyone would like to see in a launch pad for
F and  say through the I or maybe a little larger range motor size rockets,
something made from metal not plastic. it would fold up for transport ease. I
am not looking for design idea's, just features ...

Parachute idea08 Jul 2004 05:46 GMT3
I had an idea hit me out of the blue for a high quality parachute. A childs
nylon umbrella. just remove the metal tines attach some shroud lines and you
have a great chute. Is this a good idea or a bad one?
LDRS Parking fee issue08 Jul 2004 05:25 GMT5
This post is to anyone who wants to listen, EXCEPT the anonymous
posters/trolls/antagonists. As a group, you don't count.
I would personally vouch for anyone and everyone in BRS. The parking fee was
no secret and is to defray the landowner's cost of tearing up the parking
My LDRS Photos08 Jul 2004 03:39 GMT2
I created a WebShots folder with a few photos from LDRS in Geneseo.
My son had the camera most of the time, and there are hundreds of
photos and video snips to sort through. Unfortunately, I don't have
lots of details as to what's in most of them, so I'm still sorting

If you were in the market to buy a single-pad launch controller, what sort
of features would you want in it?

Parking fee at LDRS?07 Jul 2004 18:07 GMT64
There has been talk for months about a parking fee at LDRS for spectators.
Anyone know what the fee will be?
I'm not paying the launch fee since I only have one rocket that is
flyable.  If my big 17.5 foot tall rocket was ready then I would pay the
How to remove aluminum siding?07 Jul 2004 05:00 GMT7
How the heck does one remove the aluminum siding from a travel trailer?
There has to be some way to remove the bottom piece from the trailer.
What I really need to do is to remove the bottom skirt from an aluminum
sided trailer.

Here are the winners in order from top bird to shooting star.  The
