Large R/C Boost Glider05 Aug 2004 20:26 GMT4
Can anyone direct me toward currently available kit or plans for a large
(single-E engine or greater) R/C boost glider? Old r.m.r posts direct me
toward Vectoraero at <http://members.aol.com/kmckiou/>, but that URL is now
a null page.
Needed: Semi-On-Topic Rocketry Opinion05 Aug 2004 17:01 GMT54
If I were to ask a REAL specific question about any rocket I owned which,
let's saaaaaaaay, had an ARRD on board, that might limit others here to
nothing other than an education as they may not have a rocket that uses one
OR they may never fly a rocket that big or a myriad other ...
ATF Storage for small quantities of BP, Electric Matches05 Aug 2004 15:27 GMT19
I know that black powder is listed as a low explosive, but do very
small quantities need to be stored in a magazine according to law? For
example, Robbies Rockets charges with a couple grams of BP, or a small
film container of BP to pour into ejection charge wells.

What are the operating Parameters of certified engines? Info only...no flames please04 Aug 2004 15:12 GMT3
What are the TRA standards for motor operating repeatability. I have always
operated under the assumption that  a certified motor would operate within
a window of plus or minus 10% of published performance. Is this correct?
Where would this info be cited?

Yet another question...03 Aug 2004 23:37 GMT13
I hope I'm not wearing out my welcome yet...
I've seen on a few vendor sites kits that were either multi-stage or clustered.
I'd eventually like to get into those as well.  I know how the multi-stage
work, but how do the clusters work?  I'm trying to figure out how you get all

Any one else having problems getting stuff from FireFox?
I was interested in some 400 micron AP and a little Manganese Dioxide.
Their part number for Manganese Dioxide and Calcium Chloride are identical,
so I need clarification.

Pictures of 'fleet'02 Aug 2004 22:56 GMT9
I was thinking of posting some pics of the rockets I have so far.  Are most
people really interested in seeing other enthusiasts' models?
If nothing else, you can laugh at what I have... :-)

Liquid Fuel Engines A and up...02 Aug 2004 13:49 GMT61
I've been noodling around an idea for a liquid fuel engine design.
It would use gasoline or alcohol and compressed O2.
The design is fairly basic, but requires pretty close tolerances.
Basically it consists of two tanks and a combustion chamber.  The

Boundary Layer Airflow01 Aug 2004 20:59 GMT34
Has there been any papers written by hobbyists on controlling boundary layer
airflow?
I was painting a rocket with Kilz and was wondering if it would make sense,
instead of sanding it smooth, to leave the rough finish to break up the
