| For rocketry, useful accelerometer ranges? | 13 Aug 2004 19:04 GMT | 5 |
Motorola's Freescale Semiconductor has introduced a few solid-state x-y accelerometers comparable to those of Analog Devices. Their manufacturing part numbers are MMA62xxQ (xx is 60 to 63 for 1.5g max, or 31 or 33 for 10g max.

| Opening nosecone | 13 Aug 2004 18:34 GMT | 3 |
This project is at least a year or two away from being started, but I'd still like to know if anyone has tried a parachute deployment from inside a nosecone that splits in half and (each half) folds back (quickly under spring loading I imagine).

Hi... I'm looking for plans for building a long distance model glider. I couldn't find any better-sounding newsgroup to ask, so I thought maybe someone here might know. When I was a teenager, our Scout group made a bunch of these gliders.
