AGTS/1 Flight Modules 30 Sep 2004 21:21 GMT23
Has anyone used the AGTS Flight systems
(http://www.stephensonline.ca/atha-aerospace/aai_index.html)?  They seem
similar to GPSFlight except they don't require a PC to use on the field and
can be programmed without a PC.

I read alot about nitrous oxide as the oxidizer in a hybrid but what
about plain oxygen (not LOX)?
Protecting a lower stage from 2nd stage ignition30 Sep 2004 15:45 GMT33
The one rocket I'm working on is a 2 stage. One of the things I'm
concerned about is protecting the lower stage from the heat of ignition,
I don't need it frying the lower stage and couplings. I was told that it
shouldn't be a concern as the two stages should blow right
GPSFLIGHT PROBLEM30 Sep 2004 07:36 GMT4
I am wondering if anyone knows what the problem GPSFLIGHT is having bringing
to market the Action Boards the company has been advertising for close to a
year. I have had a couple of other people tell me they have the same
problem.
altimeter arming ?30 Sep 2004 07:17 GMT6
does anybody use any form of "continuty" checking within their altimeter
circuits to make sure it is "on" "ARMED", that checks the ejection charge
circuits to make sure they will fire?  I was thinking along the lines of
something you could temporarily plug into a small socket on ...

[Dave Grayvis]29 Sep 2004 20:51 GMT3
Let's assume some things.
Let's assume Dave Grayvis is rational.
I believe it is clearly disproven by his posts, but hey.
Let's further assume he is Brian Teeling which he certainly directly
[trolls] a sad life29 Sep 2004 20:48 GMT29
I am just glad we have sufficient trolls slinging sufficient mud to
protect the buying public from "making a mistake" by buying any product
at all, especially from U.S. Rockets ona "bill on delivery basis". In
other words pay after you receive and approve ONLY.
[NFZ] Ejection charges, again29 Sep 2004 20:44 GMT103
I am slowly working my way towards HPR and hybrids. Right now, I am
ground testing simple timer based ejection/separation devices. Most of
the actual ejection charge designs I've found are based upon loose
pyrotechnic powders held within a frangible container (centrifuge vials,
Porta-potties at BALLS29 Sep 2004 20:17 GMT63
Why don't the organizers at BALLS get more porta-potties or have them
emptied over the weekend?  I have a toilet in my RV, but I heard reports
on Sunday that they were pretty full again this year.
I may go one of these years without my RV and I would like to have a

Got Boy Scout Gig?29 Sep 2004 19:06 GMT21
Got an email from what I guess is a boy scout leader person asking if I
personally or the club in general if we would recommend the following:
1. give speech, show and tell(engine sizes, Safety Code, actual LMR) and
then do make it /take it   fly it at a nother club launch?
Sky Captain Rocket29 Sep 2004 14:52 GMT37
Just saw "Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow" and really liked the
rocket.  Does anyone know where I could find a picture, etc. of the rocket?
The movie website doesn't have anything.  I would like to make a flying
copy.  A couple of pictures would go a long way to helping out ...
Newbie question (launch controller)29 Sep 2004 14:14 GMT19
New to the sport, new to the group, this is my intro post.
Bought a Quest super eagle kit to fly with my son, recently built and
test flew a Estes High Flier, and we're starting to look at other
kits, and 'stuff'. First thing on my 'stuff' list is a new launch
