| How may AAAs to launch my first A, B, C motors | 21 Sep 2004 19:13 GMT | 9 |
I have a Quest 'Whiplash' rocket with which I inherited and have been dying to see launched again. The launch controller has a plastic push-button trigger which houses a single rectangular 9V battery. I have just bought 24 inexpensive AAA batteries. I know if I need to I can

| Stupidest Thing you ever put Fire to? | 21 Sep 2004 17:56 GMT | 12 |
Other than a few times fins blew off and things took an unexpected turn of two the worst thing done, intentionally, was to glue an A motor to some fins and with an orange Elmer's Glue cap for a nose cone. All motor, no stability. Flew upwards about 50 feet then began the

| Long delays for Black Jack | 21 Sep 2004 15:48 GMT | 324 |
I'm planning on launching some minimum diameter 29mm and 38mm rockets on AT black jack motors. It appears that RCS doesn't make long delays for that propellant type. Just short and medium (6sec. and 10sec.) My sims say to use 14-16 delays. I don't have an altimeter that fits in ...

Congratulations! After receiving 94 votes, we have a winner! I have included all the points (1=3 pts, 2=2 pts, 3=1 pt) as well as the ranking. Ranking was only needed for one tie break, but yields interesting results. Does anyone like the idea of only using Ranking

| Motor casing question | 20 Sep 2004 15:21 GMT | 3 |
I was packing the toys up for tomorrows launch (YIPPEE!) and was looking at the different casings I have and got to wondering about them. Such as except for length there's no intristic visual difference between my 29mm's that are meant for G's while the other for H's. And ...

| Picky, picayune, pejorative or proper? | 20 Sep 2004 14:30 GMT | 18 |
This is a topic we've discussed from time to time but it's not beyond a callback. At least I don't think so. Besides, this is my post :-)> I have minor issues with some terminology. Specifically, the term "fuel" - to describe solid rocket motor propellants - is incorrect.
