New Project - Harpoon15 Sep 2004 23:19 GMT3
I'm already thinking about my winter project. I would like to put together a
1/2 scale harpoon. Using something like an L motor or maybe three 38's with
a 54 in the middle. Any thoughts? How about any pointers for details. This
will be my first scratch project. Anyone have any ...
Balls Launch features a Full Scale Honest John!15 Sep 2004 23:09 GMT9
Hello Rocket Comrades!
There has been some talk about the project that the Community Space Program is doing for
BALLS. I have not commented much because I wanted to hold comments until I was sure that
the project will be done and ready for launch at that event.

Piston vs Nomex15 Sep 2004 22:10 GMT15
Any thoughts of piston vs. nomex to protect the chute during deployment? I
have used mostly piston with no problems but I have noticed lately that my
pistons are getting tight. Seem to me that the piston while easy do require
more care. Any thoughts.
David Sleeter of Teleflite,,,15 Sep 2004 18:56 GMT4
If anyone's looking for an example of professionalism and integrity look no

from the look of his book, (which I received this morning, ...

Access to High Powered (H and up) Motors15 Sep 2004 05:27 GMT80
I've been interested in getting involved in some of the more high
powered engines (just shot G's up to now), and have been reading a lot
(and getting somewhat confused) on the different ways to get access to
them.  From what I've read, I can purchase them if I've been certified

Question on ejection charges15 Sep 2004 05:09 GMT42
My first duel deployment system will be ready to go "soon". One of the
hold ups is the ejection charges. The re-occuring thing I've heard is to
use flash bulbs wrapped in paper with the charge. Ok, nice and simple,
just like me. I'm curious about other methods out there and ...
Looking for old nose, Estes BNC-30E15 Sep 2004 00:58 GMT2
Hi, I'm looking for an old nose cone used on the Estes Mark, their part
number BNC-30E, or a plastic equivalent.  Does anyone know of a source for
old parts like these?  Other than paying through the "nose" for an old kit?
Thanks!

Question on painting or fabricating nosecones14 Sep 2004 18:21 GMT2
Hey everyone,
The other day I was in Wal-Mart and got a few cones of Styrofoam (the hard
stuff they use for floral arrangements). It sanded nicely but I cant figure
out how to prime and pant it. Normal spray paint seams to melt it. any
