Turns out the Wan Hu episode text was accidentally listed for the exploding

Balloon "first stages"18 Nov 2004 22:44 GMT24
Ok, I think lofting a rocket via balloon is a rather clunky way of
doing things, since the wind will take it where it wills. Hard to log a
waiver/flight plan/etc when you don't know where the thing will end up.
But it's workable for X-prize attempts like the DaVinci and others ...
BATF satisfaction survey18 Nov 2004 17:41 GMT1
I just found this on my club's list. Since no one's passed it along here, I will. Just to make sure no one misses this.

Effects of vibration on capacitors18 Nov 2004 17:18 GMT40
Does anyone know how severely vibration can affect a capacitor's
ability to regulate voltage?  (i.e. how much the voltage can deviate
as a function of vibration)  What types of caps are better at
regulating voltage under high vibration?
Easy Access Motors18 Nov 2004 13:42 GMT2
I know a lot of people have been complaining about the availability of
Easy Access motors.  I'm here to tell ya that Great Lakes just got a HUGE
shipment of Easy Access motors in today, I was there when they were delivered
and my eyes almost popped out and then they told me it ...

Lawndarts & CATOs & Shreds, oh MY!17 Nov 2004 04:11 GMT9
JMRC launch at Gumbert field:
MAN, the rocket gods were pissed off today....  So much hardware reduced to
scrap.  An E9 in an Estes CATO'd.  A Level 3 attempt came in ballistic.  A
separated booster came in without a chute.  The club 'project' didn't get off
Update on apartment fire17 Nov 2004 02:22 GMT5
The tenant has now been inside the apartment.  The nitrous tank that was
thought to have vented actually was still full.  The local bomb squad
insisted on emptying the nitrous tank for no good reason.  There was black
powder and other metals in the apartment, but they were in the ...

nozzle shape16 Nov 2004 21:42 GMT26
Sorry for probably stupid question,
how important is the shape of nozzle? Let say this way: if just hole of
right measure gives x meters of height, how much will the "righ-shaped"
nozzle will add?

Pro cell batteries16 Nov 2004 15:22 GMT12
In a recent purchase of Pro Cell batteries that were marked with a March 2006
shelf life, one needs to check the voltage on these to make sure they are above
8.6 volts. Over the weekend i used one in a reliable altimeter that had over a
dozen flights on it, and after the drogue ...
RocketMan Chutes RockSim File...?15 Nov 2004 20:53 GMT3
I'm just wondering if anyone has made up a set of RockSim files for
the RocketMan parachutes?  Just so I don't have to go through the
trouble of making my own...  :-)
