manned space program, done by modelers?08 Nov 2004 23:35 GMT9
First, I aint gonna listen to your opinions cause I got one of my own. I
mainly wanna see how many pitchforks and torches arise from this topic.
OK, I've been looking at bigger rockets. say a 80" diameter about 25 foot
long. still aint sure what to run in it.
Idea for R/C boost glider (NP)08 Nov 2004 21:29 GMT18
I have been toying around with the idea of making an R/C boost glider out
of a material called coroplast, its like box cardboard only its plastic, it
will be like a round  flying wing design with flaperons. It will piggyback
on a normal rocket and separate at apogee. Any ideas, ...
oh WHY do I beat myself up like this08 Nov 2004 20:01 GMT6
Got an invitation to join a yahoo group (name withheld) that supposedly
dealt with space.
Turned out it was more like "polititians and wannabes who want to talk about
funding and support for NASA"

Did anyone see film of the fireworks plant/storage going up in Denmark (at

hurt.

Motors that give a good show07 Nov 2004 18:05 GMT20
I've noticed that some motors are more impressive than others with the
smoke, fire, and sound they produce. The first time I noticed this was
when I flew a G80, personally I think it blows the doors off an H128
flight for getting a specator's attention. Another one that stands ...
Over stability?07 Nov 2004 18:02 GMT8
I am building a rocket that is overstable by 3 to 4 caliblers. Rocsim
says that it will still go about 1,700 feet, but I wasnt sure if there
are any problems that could arise. I forgot to mention that it is a 7
motor cluster I'm doing, so Im not sure if that will cause any
Pryodex-based quickmatch?07 Nov 2004 04:55 GMT1
So I bought some Pyrodex P the other day only to discover shortly thereafter
that it isn't supposed to be that good for making quickmatch (according to
PyroUniverse).
But since I already had it, I experimented a bit and it seems to me it works

NOTAMs available online!05 Nov 2004 23:16 GMT3
I don't think I've posted this already, but I just found that you can search
the FAA NOTAM database online. Go to

and then enter the TLA for your closest airport to see NOTAMs for your area.
Hey! Don't forget about Sunward Aerospace!05 Nov 2004 22:46 GMT11
Sunward Aerospace has recently changed hands, and while talking to the
new owner (a very nice man) I realized that I have kinda left Sunward
on the back shelf recently. Sometimes a kit or company will just kinda
get lost in the shuffle, but I'd like to take this opprotunity to
