SPRocketry Question18 Mar 2005 01:26 GMT1
In the latest issue of Sport Rocketry, there is an intriguing picture
of an SR-71 on page 30.  It has dark motor exhaust coming from the two
engine pods but what the heck is coming from the center???  I can't
tell if it's a jet engine or just something flapping in the breeze.

Starting to use Reloads17 Mar 2005 01:54 GMT1
I have just received my reload cases yesterday.  I am building primarily
Estes stuff now, and repairing what I can of my 17 year old kits.  I am
building my new kits a little stronger with epoxy on the motor mount.  How

Lessons learned building L1 rockets16 Mar 2005 07:07 GMT28
Well, I've just finished the construction phase for my level 1
rocket(s).  I still have to do the final sanding/painting, but the
'construction' part is done.  And I've learned a few valuable lessons
that I thought I'd share.  BTW, I'm planning on using my PML 1/4 Scale
Ignitors for Deployment16 Mar 2005 04:14 GMT19
I'd like to get started in dual-deployment for F & G power rockets.
But everywhere I look for ignitors for the deploy charge you need a
LEUP to buy them.
Is there a lower cost option here?

NARCON first report15 Mar 2005 16:05 GMT12
Just got back from NARCON. WOOSH did another great job hosting the event.
The key note speakers, Ky Michaelson, Jay Apt, and Vern & Gleda Estes were
worth the trip alone. Many interesting technical sessions to attend, plus
education sessions, make-it take-its for the kids, and a ...

What is your experience in calling an ATC Tower in your area to tell them
you are launching a model rocket that weighs 20 ounces and has an ounce of
propellant?  What do they say or ask?
