I am very pleased to announce that all of the new plans mentioned

the BARCLONE website and are ready to be downloaded.
Additionally, there is a new accessory jig from Bit Eimer for creating
Great job on the LDRS 23 video, Chuck!!26 Apr 2005 20:27 GMT4
I got my LDRS 23 video in the mail today from Doug Pratt.  All I
can say is "Great job, Chuck!!"  And I love that music, too.
I've only had time to watch the first disc (covering Thurs, Fri
and Sat, and running about an hour and a half).  The footage is

Launching from water26 Apr 2005 03:45 GMT16
I am a sophmore high school student that has just gotten into rocketry,
or at least into building them. I know somewhere between a beginner to
intermediate knowledge of rocketry in general, as well as model
rockets. I am also starting my own NAR section at my school. I haven't
Gap staging and clusters26 Apr 2005 00:53 GMT16
Ok, my one TARC team I'm mentoring has been having good luck with
their gap staging. Now they're going to a cluster design on the booster
to increase the accelaration off the pad. Likely they'll still be trying
gap staging. Personally this is something I've never done so I ...

cell phone hazard?25 Apr 2005 19:25 GMT10
Has anyone considered an em pulse from cell phone ringing nearby active
recovery avionics electronics to be a risk of inadvertently triggering
the ejection charges? Should cell phones be restricted from being around
connected ematches, etc, during prepping as a safety precaution?
Gap staging lower stage protection25 Apr 2005 16:15 GMT28
I'm building my first gap staged rocket out of two Baby Bertha kits. I'm
worried that the lower stage tube will get worn out rather quickly after
exposure to both the burnthrough on the booster motor and the ignition
of the sustainer. Should I use some sort of inner lining? Any
Are hybrids always HPR?25 Apr 2005 13:42 GMT122
With the introduction of the Skyripper 29mm motors, I suspect it would be
possible to put together a hybrid powered rocket weighing much less than 3.3
lbs.
Am I correct in assuming, however, that such rockets cannot be launched
El Mirage conditions?25 Apr 2005 13:08 GMT4
I am wondering, with all of the rain we've had, how are the conditions out
at El Mirage?  I can drive out and no doubt will soon but in the mean time,
if you've been out that way in the last week or so I would love to hear what
you found. Also, how about Lucerne?
UK Altitude Record Smashed !24 Apr 2005 20:14 GMT6
Thought it might be of interest to you all that the UK altitude record
was broken today ( 23/04/05 ) in fantastic style by Damian Hall, the rocket
was launched from SWARM's launch site in Devon. England. The rocket is a 2
stage vehicle with each stage powered by a PRO54 K660 ...
I know Estes is trying but...24 Apr 2005 18:35 GMT38
...I really wish they would make a serious effort at quality decals.
I just, pain stakingly, finishing my SpaceShipOne, masked it off and
airbrushed all of the red areas - it was perfect...and then, I started
to apply the "decals".   This piece of "S"  ruined my work.  First of

The word military will not be noticed here, just the word rocket.

I have looked all over and have yet to find a good site on building a dual
deployment Rocket.  I am looking for something that will help me build my
first Dual deployement rocket.  Does anyone know of any good sites that have
some good information, Pictures ect.  of building one.
A web site that does exactly what it says on the tin....24 Apr 2005 00:52 GMT10
I was talking to someone about how difficult it is to buy from a web site
nowadays. So many people have missed the point. As a web designer I was told
you should be able to buy something from a site in three clicks.
At last I found a site that allowed me to do this. It's called
