Interesting story... Anyone have any details? Was it a Cato? How did a model start a fire? "a model rocket fired from the school landed on the roof of an Ivy Drive home, causing a two-alarm fire that gutted the home."

I'm busily collecting pieces-parts for launching hybrids, and want to build an enclosure that will house the nitrous tank, solenoids, and have a bit of storage space. The main point is to protect the tank valve & solenoid assemblies.

I want to put the electronics in my payload section. In order to fire the drogue charge, I need to run the charge wires down the inside of the tube, past the parachute. When the charge fires, it will separate the payload from the main tube and/or fire the chute out like a canon ball ...
