What is a good high temp epoxy for motor casings30 Jun 2005 16:49 GMT3
I have been making my own paper tubes for small rocket motor casings.  I
have used Elmer wood glue and paper.  However, on end burners they just
don't quite have enough strength.  I bought paper phenolic tubes from
Acculam and they work great.  I can even use the casings twice.  But ...

trimming the Mach 1028 Jun 2005 15:44 GMT3
I'm building an original Mach 10.  I had one in the early 70's, but lost it
at some point and was able to purchase an original kit at NARCON a few years
ago.  I can trim it for gliding OK I think, but I'm wondering how much weight I
should put in the nose cone for the boost phase ...

I received my copy of "Modern High-Power rocketry 2" on friday. I gotta
say that this book is fantastic. Mark did a great job on covering many
details of rocketry. Of course my favorite section is on "High-Power
Electronics" ;)
[FFT] Dual chute question28 Jun 2005 01:10 GMT8
For no reason other than just doing it, I would like to recover
an LMR on dual chutes.
I think everyone has seen something coming down on two
chutes which form a "V" pattern above their payload.

Lst night I stumbled into a local electronics stores going out of business
sale and picked up a bargain, a Canon S1 IS for $128! OK, it's their display
model, no box, manual, 8MB card that only holds a couple pictures, or
"stuff" and it's been pawed for a while. But it still has the ...
