| Dr. Rocket reloads | 23 Jun 2005 05:30 GMT | 7 |
I'm that spastic guy that lost the 18/20 RMS 'cause I messed up on the ejection charge. Won't do that again. Am reading instructions right and left and know how to deal with that now. The video links sent to me really helped out too.

I am looking for a copy of the FlightGraph software that was included with my Olsen FCP-M2 unit. I had the software loaded on my old Compaq computer, but alas, it had a big hard drive fart when I tried to transfer to my new Dell. Needless to say I cannot find the original disk I ...

| Dr. Who - Dalek Missiles | 20 Jun 2005 21:45 GMT | 8 |
Posted to alt.binaries.pictures.model.rockets, pictures of missiles fired by the Daleks in the last episode of the new Dr. Who (June 2005 - "The Parting of the Ways"). 3 shots of missiles in flight - assuming the totally crapulent Cox news server doesn't lose parts of them like ...

| L1 Flight Report | 20 Jun 2005 17:33 GMT | 8 |
We launched on Sunday, which here was a hot, hazy, very humid day with the threat of thunderstorms. Winds were fairly beefy early on (10-15mph) but eased up as the day wore on... and no rain! My L1 certification flight was "Opportunity Nox", a ~5 lb scratch built,

| Cluster Choice? | 19 Jun 2005 17:25 GMT | 59 |
I've read up on a few articles / posts that are floating around the net on clustering a FatBoy. Have narrowed it down to either a 3x24 or (1x24 + 6x18) The 3x24 seems the easiest way and would be quick & fun.

| Odd eBay Posting | 18 Jun 2005 23:48 GMT | 13 |
These kits are described vaguely by the seller, as if he has little clue about model rockets. But the former head of Aardvark, Dr. Kenneth Johnson, lived/lives in Aloha, Oregon. Is this just a bit disingenuous?

| Rocket Parade Float | 18 Jun 2005 21:07 GMT | 15 |
I'm currently building a 4th of July parade float for our local rocketry education program. It will be 12" in diameter and ~20ft long. It would be "way cool" if I could periodically have a countdown and expel simulated rockets exhaust from the rocket's nozzle while the float ...

There seem to be many factual errors on flyrockets.com and considering how many people hit that site, corrections would certainly be wise. Here is one of perhaps 20 or so errors I have seen: http://www.flyrockets.com/work.html

| pyramid/cone rocket design specifications | 17 Jun 2005 19:40 GMT | 6 |
I'm looking for the basic design considerations for designing and building pyramid and cone rockets. In other words, what are the CG vs CP relationship, and how do you compute the CP, and does the angle of the cone matter, etc. A pointer to a report or newsletter article
