| [F-FT] Initial Estes Oracle comments | 10 Jun 2005 17:39 GMT | 14 |
I haven't done much more than open the box yet, but here are some initial comments... The box is huge, mostly air. The camera doesn't appear that vulnerable, so I don't know why it's in such a big box, unless it's for shelf space

| Estes Executioner Help Requested | 10 Jun 2005 17:34 GMT | 8 |
Am modifying an Executioner to a "Hexecutioner". Yeah my 11y/o son is into Harry Potter and said I'm putting a "hex" on the model. I am going to use this as a level one certifying model with an H 220. Before you say I'm nuts, the only thing I am using from the kit is

| Estes Pro Series Patriot | 09 Jun 2005 15:14 GMT | 18 |
Hey Guys, does anyone knowwhat an Estes Pro Series Patriot might be worth. The kit was produced around 1992 and it is now out of production. The rocket has been built but it has never flown. It is still in great condition. If you know what this model is worth now,

| Some help with rocket equations | 09 Jun 2005 06:41 GMT | 13 |
The more appropriate group for this question is probably sci.space.tech, however, moderation seems to take forever over there. My question is about relative amounts of fuel mass required to double the maximum altitude of a rocket. A friend of mine told me that in

| New electronics multi stager design | 08 Jun 2005 19:37 GMT | 4 |
I am currently in the design stage of a 5 channel timer for advanced cluster and staging rockets (example, USR Sentra). 1 stage will be used for air-starting (think of it as a delay capable XCIC-1). The other 4 stages will be "independent" of each other or

| Any sources for cheap carbon fiber rods? | 07 Jun 2005 13:45 GMT | 8 |
I've searched this newsgroup through Google and didn't fiund an answer. Is there any source for carbon fiber rods that is relatively inexpensive? I am looking for 1/2" rods. I need at least 12 feet of rod. A lot of vendors have small diameter rods, but far fewer have 1/2" rods.

| Octave Video camera better than Oracle? | 06 Jun 2005 19:32 GMT | 4 |
Saw the article for the Oracle above and I was able to find the link for a pen camera that might have better capability. I did see some impressive videos in foamy glider and a rocket but I forgot the site I got them from. I did find that manufacturers site and in hi-res mode ...
