El Mirage launch Report02 Jun 2005 20:04 GMT9
Just got back from our annual 11th grade El Mirage Rocket Launch. What a
day! Blue skies, light winds, lots of sun. They've actually paved the road
out to El Mirage now.......what a change from 10 years ago when even
porta-potties were non-existent. We flew over 100 rockets today ...
Aerotech Initiator?02 Jun 2005 17:33 GMT3
Folks I've been out of rockets for a couple of years and just came accross
it all in the attic.  99% of it was the estes stuff.  I was preparing to get
into hpr with the aerotech kit a few years ago.

Any suggestions on spacing out three fins?02 Jun 2005 15:41 GMT25
I am building a rocket from scratch with three fins.  It has been a long

I will be building the motor mount with the fins attached first and then
sliding the slotted body tube over if that matters.

ATF final rule explosives marking, etc.02 Jun 2005 13:58 GMT14
The ATF still hasn't published their threatened change to the Propellant
Actuated Device definition (they still have one more day in May before their
latest estimate in the agenda goes bust) but they did publish the final rule on
marking explosives.
Revenge of the Blue Ninja02 Jun 2005 06:33 GMT2
I was given an Estes Blue Ninja as a pressie....
As much as I enjoyed receiving it, that sparkle blue colour and the plastic

My evil twin decided to change it........hence the Bertha NC, New MMT & Fins
Estes Scrambler Body Tube Question02 Jun 2005 05:45 GMT10
In an incredible bit of serendipity, I managed to get
the parts for a number of Estes Scramblers (Kit #

back room.  Apparently they were ordered and paid for
Fin Alignment Wrap Script02 Jun 2005 04:22 GMT2
Last week, there was a thread related to locating and aligning fins on a

The page also contain a neat script to generate paper transitions, as well.

previous years, they will be happily lobbing LOC Magnums with HyperTEK
