Next Project...15 Jul 2005 14:07 GMT4
I flew the customized stormcaster yesterday on a D12....it was pretty
cool...not nearly as high as the alpha III on a C6, but cool nonetheless.  I
have ordered some F21W's from my local guy....my sims show it taking this
unit to about 1700 ft on this motor....should be fun.
Shuttle fuel gauge problems15 Jul 2005 13:39 GMT3
Exactly how does one of these work anyway?  How do you measure the amount
of liquid hydrogen in a bazillion gallon thermos jug?  Couldn't they just
go out and give it a good hard whack on the side of the tank and see if
that fixes it?

Hey, i'm a beginner in the rocketry feild and haven't messed with much
more than an estess rocket that ran an 1/4 A rocket engines. I know
this sounds stupid but I'd really like to get a complete hybrid rocket
kit to "play" with. I need something pretty basic with minor assembley,
Useful Scripts14 Jul 2005 22:04 GMT9
Hey all,
Awhile back, I discovered these very useful scripts, for
generating body tube "fin guide wraps"; and for generating

Hi to all- just wanted to drop a line and intro.
As the subject line infers, I'm not quite new to the hobby, just

for about 8 months now, and have found it to be a great resource for
Broken fin repair part II14 Jul 2005 12:31 GMT8
Since I was not skilled enough to drill straight holes in my fins to
repair using carbon fiber rods, I am going to repair the fin by making a
splint with fin stock. I made some 1/16" thick fiberglass material
following instructions I found at

Two milestones13 Jul 2005 23:38 GMT44
Just started back into this great hobby last August and am proud to
anounce two milestones.  Though I haven't made it to a place where I can
certify, (and I am working on a level 1 to 2 rocket. Just have to do the
TTW fins, seal, sand, primer paint etc.:) ) I was able to ...
[F-FT] I joined TRA13 Jul 2005 21:22 GMT122
I realize that the vast majority of folks won't care about this, but
I've publically made statements spanning a few years on this forum that
I haven't joined TRA because NAR meets my needs, and because I was
somewhat concerned about past problems with TRA.
Problems with launch lugs13 Jul 2005 19:08 GMT25
Actually,  the problem is with the guy who put them on, namely me, but here
is the problem:
I have them slightly offcenter...by slightly, I mean it fits over the 3/16"
rod ok. but it tends to 'bind' or 'grab' a bit on the way down and up....
