As you all know I'm new at this. Like most of you, probably, I like to build things...as opposed to buying things. The launch pad I will buy, but the battery--->switch--->wires to ignitor I think I would/could make.

| [F-FT] Anyone build the Cosmos Mariner yet? | 08 Jul 2005 14:55 GMT | 1 |
I just cracked open my Estes Cosmos Mariner kit, and have to say I'm actually pretty excited about it. Has anyone built one yet? The reason I ask is that it seems a bit 'off' in that only the left elevator has elastic on it. Apparently the right elevator is glued in

I was wondering if anybody here has any sort of contact info for the people who used to run Aardvark Rocketry (Blackhawk R&D). I know they have been a memory for a number of years, however I was hoping I might be able to wheedle a little help out of them.

| Batteries | 07 Jul 2005 22:57 GMT | 23 |
I have a 7 amp hr 12v gel-cell battery that I use for my 40M QRP CW rig. Much like the kind you'd use for emergency lighting. I was just curious if the same battery could be used for model rocketry. Clearly a lighted rocker type switch could be used to not complete but

Been doing more reading....about engines in particular. Seems that some kit manufacturers recommend 'black powder' engines as opposed to I'll just call 'em regular engines. And by that I mean 'Estes' type engines.

| [F-FT] Where is the line regarding G motors | 07 Jul 2005 02:09 GMT | 52 |
I'd like to hear the input from folks here about where the 'line' is regarding a G motor as a model rocket motor and a mid- or high- power rocket motor. I've seen several posts in the past that state that certain 'G' motors

I'm sure most of you folks have more than one model rocket. How do you display them? When I thought of 2 or 3 I thought it might be nice to put them on a nice piece of wood with a 13/16" or so dowel up in the engine compartment.....hmmmm...this works well for 2 or 3.
