Get the best ARCAS money can buy, before they are gone!07 Sep 2006 04:42 GMT2
PENINSULA, Ohio USA -- A rare opportunity to purchase probably the best
made high-power kraft cardboard rocket kit on the market is slowly
drawing to a close.  Doug Stout has just 10 of his unusually high
quality 4.08" ARCAS kits left and when they are gone, they are gone forever ...

Pics from my latest rocketry trip03 Sep 2006 18:01 GMT2
I've just finished posting the pics from my latest Mojave/Nevada rocket
trip. Didn't get many decent aerial photos this time, mainly because I
lost a complete rocket and camera payload and wasted two full days
searching for them. But there are a few good aerial shots, plus many
Scale Models & Fins03 Sep 2006 15:29 GMT6
I'm looking at making some scale models of modern rockets.  Unfortunately
the great majority of modern rockets use thrust vectoring so they don't
require fins.  Clearly this cannot be easily achieved with small model rockets.
I'm interested in finding out what people have done to ...

Streamer Question (Comanche III)02 Sep 2006 22:14 GMT3
I have an Estes Comanche III which keeps having the same issue over and
over again.  Recovery on the rocket is with dual streamers.  Because it is
designed to go quite high (for a C/D class rocket) on 3 stages, Estes chose
streamers instead of a parachute for the upper stage.

Anyone else experiencing problems with Pratt Hobbies? I've got a small
Kevlar order that's 11 days old and no answer from E-mails. Anyone else?

Heat-PROOF engine mount tubing?02 Sep 2006 14:45 GMT27
I've been experimenting with a no-wadding chute packing/deployment
method and run into a snag.
What I've done is to run a stuffer tube all the way up to the nosecone,
then pack the shock cord and chute around the stuffer.  The nosecone has
LOC Precision EZI-65 for level 1 cert motor choice02 Sep 2006 06:00 GMT28
I have purchased the ezi-65 with intent to certify level 1.  Which
motor choice is best?  It can accommodate a 29mm, 38 mm or 54mm motor.
I am looking for versatile, cheap, and reliable.  I know-pick two, but
now all three.  I am looking at the RMS 38/240 case with an H-123W

Another Epoxy question.02 Sep 2006 00:08 GMT2
Hello, again. I mixed up a batch of epxoy (West Systems) and noticed
that the hardener had turned brown. The resulting mix comes out the
colour of light chocolate milk. This was at the end of the can but the
pump is stained with it. It seems OK though, and sets up and glues
