bare bones sugar rocket31 Oct 2006 20:57 GMT23
I feel like making some rockets. Some simple-as-possible rockets. Some
1-pound sugar/karo syrup/potassium nitrate dissolved in water and
cooked on an electric skillet then stuffed in a PVC pipe section

Should I be thinking about Hybrid?30 Oct 2006 21:04 GMT78
I got my L1 cert at the October skies, TCC launch last weekend, and I
am worried about the fate of amateur rocketry from current trends in
overzealous regulation.  I am at a point where I haven't yet invested
in too much motor hardware and I am wondering if I should just make the

Rip-stop nylon stitching question28 Oct 2006 04:42 GMT6
Have *just* learned how to use my sister's sewing machine in an
attempt to sew some flat hex and octagonal nylon chutes.
Are there any "standard" sewing practices for rip-stop? The
chutes will be used in two small MPR/HPR birds and in a few

Hello, I've recently purchased a couple of pencams (Pencam SD & 1.3) and
