Reloadable Rocket Engines27 Oct 2006 15:39 GMT7
How do reloadable rocket engines work?  What do you do with them and
how do you assemble them.  If I was to get a reloadable rocket engine,
who sells the best?
Thanks for your input,
# of current NAR members27 Oct 2006 00:55 GMT22
I was just wondering what the current membership numbers are for the
NAR.  All they say on their website is a cryptic note about "in the past
50 years over 80,000 people have joined the NAR" but not a word about
current member numbers.  I am a BAR and got around to looking up the ...
Time to make a large cluster of 62 gram APCP motors.  Just buy lots of little motors and cluster & stage them like crazy.26 Oct 2006 08:19 GMT22
We who have no LEUP should start clustering 62 gram motors.  Then when we
have that down, we should start staging the clusters.  Maybe we can use just
as much APCP as we were before the rule. Then we can show the ATF what
stupid idiots they are.  Heck we could stock pile our 50 to ...

Extreme BP Contest - October 28 & 29 - DARS Launch25 Oct 2006 17:49 GMT1
At the DARS October 28 & 29 Shoot for the Stars launch, we'll be
conducting a contest called Extreme BP.  This is for black powder motors
in staged and clustered configurations.  Basically, how many motors can
you put in a rocket?  The more motors you light, the more points you
Handheld GPS recommendation25 Oct 2006 16:04 GMT18
I just starting to do some research in getting a inexpensive handheld
GPS unit.  Years past here in rmr there have been numerous
recommendations for GPS units that have been used for rocketry purposes.
I'm not looking for flying a GPS, just a handheld unit that could

Cheap Mid-Power kits24 Oct 2006 11:40 GMT19
I'm have been interested in model rocketry for a while, but they have
all been small rockets.  I am looking to step up to mid-power rockets
like Level 1 certification, but all the kits are very expensive.  I was
wondering if anyone could suggest some cheap mid-power kits.  thanks
The old 'battery on cement floor' debate24 Oct 2006 00:16 GMT12
O.k., if you haven't heard of this one, here's the background.  There is an old
argument that says you shouldn't leave lead-acid batteries on cement floors,
because the humidity, or the conductivity, or cement elves, or SOMETHING
ruins them.
Ignition for clustered leagal 62.5 gram motors....23 Oct 2006 01:45 GMT6
I have a great Idea.  But I think I saw something in the NAR newsletter
already on it.  Well the NAR article was not exactly what I had in mind but
it is close.  The NAR article showed a device some kid thought up on how to
light clusters.  He had a large dia tube with a pre ...
