Rocketry in the UK29 Jun 2007 16:25 GMT2
Asking about Rocketry in the UK in their NG uk.tech.rocketry has prompted abuse in Latin from one person.

Open letter to Pratt Hobbies customers and friends29 Jun 2007 07:18 GMT3
I'm writing this to the general world because once again I find myself
shamefully behind in cranking out orders, returning voicemails...even
answering my email. I hope this will relieve the minds of folks who
may have heard I've gone out of business or been run over by a truck.
BMS?28 Jun 2007 17:05 GMT1
Anybody know what happened to BMS?  The site doesn't work.
On another note, anyone know of any balsa suppliers that actually have
any balsa?  Today I found out that balsa is scarce because of a surge
in windmills going up.  I need to find a supplier, I've tried the
Help!  Denver Area Launch Site for Model Rocket (a firework?)28 Jun 2007 02:55 GMT5
Does anyone know where it's o.k. to launch model rockets around the Denver
area?  I'm planning a visit there and my sis-in-law said rockets were banned
there.  I couldn't believe it, so I called up the Denver Fire Dept.  They
said, "All fireworks are illegal".  I asked if there ...

Altimeters at BlackRock desert, stupid question.26 Jun 2007 13:00 GMT3
Stupid question:

Stupid question, should I be concerned about the AGL when setting up
my dual deploy rocket. That is, say I have set the main event chute to

deregulation of model rocketry25 Jun 2007 16:35 GMT88
"back in the day", in the Old Model Rocketry magazine, they used to have a
section titled "Loudly from a Broken Soapbox"; where people were actually
encouraged to express their opinions on the various rocketry topics of the
day.
URGENT: Need Dremel like carbide bit25 Jun 2007 15:39 GMT23
I just busted the only 3/64 carbide tip bit I had, and can't find a source
for them. And of course I'm 80% into a home repair project, stripping out
old grout to regrout the shower.
Dremel has 1/8" and 1/16" bits, but they are too big for the tile we have.
launch pad question24 Jun 2007 19:56 GMT3
I just stumbled upon this group from doing a whole lot of searching
for inspiration for making a launchpad. I've been out of rockets for a
little over 2 years but when I left I was a nar level 1 flyer. I've
finally got myself back to the states...after being in the mid-east

Anybody here ever use a router with a flush trim bit, to cut
fins from a plywood template?   I would like to hear your
techniques.  I'm trying to make a large quantity of complex
fin shapes, and I think this might be the way to go.
