Epoxy removal from quantum tube17 Aug 2007 02:05 GMT18
Warning: glue removal thread :)
In the process of going through my crash-n-burn box of rockets I found a
number of quantum tubed rockets that need rebuilding.
One of these relics was my L1 PML Quasar built with the Bob Smith epoxy.
V2 rocket model16 Aug 2007 19:23 GMT7
Does anyone know of any company that still carries a kit for the V 2
rocket? It could even be
the Estes model but I think they are not in production.

Shuttle question16 Aug 2007 14:43 GMT30
How are the manuvers (roll, pitch, etc.) during shuttle boost phase
performed?  Are they done through the RCS, gimboling the engines, or by
moving aerodynamic surfaces?  Obviously once it's out of the atmosphere the
areo surfaces have no effect.
Energetic Solid Fuels15 Aug 2007 18:05 GMT2
I just found some notecards from a paper I wrote back in high school
(1966).  It has this line about Air Force development,
"Improved solid engines may be made by using exotic oxidizers as
hydrazinium diperchlorate and fuel additives as beryllium."
CP of Multiple Body Rocket15 Aug 2007 17:18 GMT2
I am currently working on a rocket with the general design form of a
Delta IV Heavy (e.g. Having two large pods on the side of the main
body). I have looked around for ways to compute the CP of rockets with
multiple bodies (e.g. multiple tubes). I havent found anything on the
LOC IV or Fantom?15 Aug 2007 08:26 GMT1
Ok... they look really really similar.  I've heard that the Fantom is
the "upgraded" version of the IV, but what exactly does that mean?
Looks like the fins don't hang over as much, but does anyone have a
preference of one over the other?  It will be my 1st M/HPR.  Thanks!

Sacramento County (California) for model rockets?
Rockets offered to the group08 Aug 2007 03:49 GMT5
For a variety of reasons having to do with money, space, and other
real-world stuff, I've decided to part with all or most of my "gonna
build some day" kits. The bulk of them are OOP semi-collectables, with
some emphasis on scale kits. All are in original sealed packages unless

Does anyone have a plan for a RC rocket glider - along the CUDA lines if
possible. A Cuda plan would be excellent!
Thanks
